- India’s first sci-fi Robo movie
- It has made a record which grossed 100 crore in its first weekend.  
- It’s the highest-ever in Indian film world till date collection @ first weekend.
- Till now it has earned approximately 1 billion business and it’s still going strong
- In UAE alone, Enthiran {Tamil} grossed $301,000, Robot {Hindi} grossed $86,000.

1) Enthiran at No. 12 position in the US in its opening weekend collecting $1,520,108 from 64 screens
2) While Robo (Telugu) debuted at 17th position in its opening weekend collecting $481,680 from 36 screens
3) Robot (Hindi) at 34th position in its opening weekend collecting $164,390 from 39 screens
- Its box office collection cross all previous records in North America & Europe.
- It’s officially budgeted at 162 crores
- It’s the most expensive film in Asia ever made
- Its collections going strong in India and Malaysia as well.
- Apart from Chennai and Mumbai, the shootings took places across the world - Vienna {Austria}, Rio de Janeiro {Brazil}, Hanoi {Vietnam}, historic site “Machu Picchu” {Peru}, USA.
- The film was opened in 2250 theatres worldwide of which 555 theatres were in Tamil Nadu alone, making it the largest worldwide release for a Tamil film
- It’s soundtrack album's release rights were purchased by Think Music for 70 million (US$1.6 million)
- it holds a record for the first Tamil film to be screened in Colosseum Kino {Oslo, Norway}, Europe’s biggest theatre and tickets have been sold out for two weeks.
- Together, Enthiran and Robot became the highest average grossing films in North America, beating Waiting for "Superman", The Social Network, Anjaana Anjaani, and The Town.
- After the second day of release, the album reached number one on the Top 10 World Albums chart on Apple iTunes in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia, making it the first Tamil album to reach the spot.

- Padma Shree awardee Danny Denzongpa plays key villian role
- Aishwarya Rai was being paid 60 million, becoming the highest paid actress in India with her salary for Enthiran
- Manoj, son of noted filmmaker Bharathiraja, was signed as assistant director.

- R. Rathnavelu has taken up the post of the cinematographer
- Music composed by A.R. Rahman
- Lyrics written by Vairamuthu and Pa. Vijay
- Raju Sundaram would choreograph dance moves.
- Film was edited by Anthony Gonsalves, with Manish Malhotra and Mary E. Vogt (and costume designer incharge) 
- Yuen Woo Ping, the stunt co-ordinator
- Leading US-based Stan Winston Studios and Industrial Light & Magic took care of the visual effects in the film, made their Indian cinema-debut.
