The above cartoon might look funny, but in reality this may be true - it might create panic & invade your privacy.
Let we start with this small example. Do you use iPhones and iPads? How many of us know try working with social media or internet using that? Do you aware how much it will create a privacy panic?
What I heard is, when you use iPhones or ipads - it contains an unencrypted file called "consolidated.db," which has been tracking and recording users’ location data in a log accompanied with time stamps for the past 10 months. Recently they published an application called iPhone Tracker, using that you can get all the info.
Just this is an heads-up for the known devices. How about the unknown devices? It can contain any nasty tool to capture or reporting back the collected data which breaches the privacy?
Privacy is always a concern while we spending our time on internet. The more sites we surf, the more data will be collected (whatever we do, start from the URLs, data that we post, favorites, emails sent/received, news alerts, shopping, location info etc.)
Also i remember Google’s street view service – a feature on Google’s MAP service, which invaded the people’s privacy by collecting people’s activities at any given place. In Europe, this is not possible due to their laws, but what about the other countries across the world.
I am not here against any of the Social media or devices or against any company. But it’s our own responsibility to make sure that we’re safe. To be safe, use the correct tools, devices, clear the data and overcome these shakes & shivers!!
